Security Checkpoint
Entering Secure area of Airport
- You need to have your badge in order to enter the secure area of the airport
- You can use the Employee line when you have a badge
- You will need to scan your badge and scan a finger
- You must put all items on the conveyor for scanning
- Coats need to be removed, but you can keep your shoes on
- Sometimes you will be randomly selected to perform additional scans
- Your phone or drink might be checked
Tip for scanning finger
- Best if finger is moist
- Make sure you are hydrated
- In the winter your hands can dry out
- Use lotion to moisten your skin
- Blowing on your finger for several minutes before getting to the checkpoint can warm your finger and moisten it
